Madangi is a lawyer specialising in international trade law. She obtained her LL.M. in European and International Law from the Europa Institute, Saarland University (2026), graduating with an overall grade of Excellent (ausgezeichnet). She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Symbiosis Law School, India (2019). She has worked on national trade remedy cases as a lawyer in India and was part of the Global Trade Advisory team at Deloitte in Frankfurt. Most recently, she worked in the Rules Division of the World Trade Organization, supporting the work of the Committees on Anti-Dumping, Subsidies and Countervailing, and Safeguard measures. Her research focuses on the transformation of the rule-based order in an increasingly polycentric landscape of international economic law. She is broadly interested in questions of trade law, particularly at the intersection of regulatory regimes such as sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures, global standards, and the fragmentation of global trade governance.
