Born in the north of Germany, Laura grew up in a small village near Cuxhaven with more cows than inhabitants. After school, she spent several months as a volunteer in India before moving 2016 to Bayreuth. She completed her Erstes Staatsexamen in 2021, the first out of two German law degrees. While studying, Laura chose to have a focus on food law. During this time, she already noticed that she has a passion for food related topics.
In October 2021 Laura joined the Chair of Food Law in Kulmbach as a lecturer and PhD student. Her thesis deals with food waste and how to eliminate food waste according to European law.
Laura speaks German, English, French, Lithuanian. In her free time she is knitting, learning Russian and is studying for her hunting license. Also, Laura loves to cook and try new food.
